Karla Gutierrez Iyer is a senior paralegal and office manager who has been with the firm since its founding. As an immigrant from Mexico, Ms. Gutierrez Iyer personally understands the difficulties of family separation in the immigration process. She also understands that immigrants are essential to a healthy U.S. economy. In her spare time, Ms. Gutierrez Iyer enjoys outdoor activities and volunteering at immigration nonprofits. She camps, hikes, and kayaks nationwide, and volunteers with BakerRipley, Memorial Assistance Ministries, and the Youth Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights in Houston. Additionally, Ms. Gutierrez Iyer has a creative streak and enjoys acting, painting, and theater.
